ALWAGHT- Health authorities in the besieged Gaza Strip reported on Saturday that an Israeli aerial attack on a school, which was sheltering displaced Gazans, killed at least 30 people and injured dozens more.
At least 30 people, including children, were killed and many more wounded after an Israeli airstrike hit a school housing injured and displaced Palestinians in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, on Saturday.
The Gaza health ministry stated, "We are receiving updates on the previously reported Israeli attack on a field hospital in Khadija School in central Gaza’s Deir el-Balah...."
The Gaza health authorities further confirmed that children were among the martyrs in the school.
They also reported, "At least 36 people have been killed across Gaza this morning as Israel intensifies its attacks on the besieged enclave."
Israel's war on Gaza, now in its 295th day, has resulted in at least 39,175 Palestinian deaths—most of them women and children—and 90,403 injuries, with over 10,000 estimated to be buried under debris.
Meanwhile, media reported on Saturday that the Israeli occupying regime's army ordered residents of Khan Younis to evacuate to al-Mawasi in southern Gaza, an area designated as a 'safe zone' but frequently attacked.
The UN’s humanitarian aid agency reported on Saturday that hundreds of Palestinians remain trapped in eastern Khan Younis “amid intense hostilities,” with rescue teams “unable to reach them due to the denial of access by the Israeli military.”
