Hezbollah Targets Israeli Sites in New Attack

Alwaght- Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem has said that the powerful resistance movement is ready to counter any Israeli aggression on Lebanon amid Israeli threats of war on the country.

He made the remarks as some circulated reports indicate that the Israeli enemy is preparing its army to start a ground invasion of Lebanon, according to Al-Manar news network.

"The reports say that the Israeli Chief of Staff and Commander of Northern Zone have tasked a major general to set the plan of the invasion," said to Sheikh Qassem who made his remarks while addressing a memorial service held in the southern suburbs of Beirut to commemorate Hezbollah martyrs all the way to Al-Quds Fadel Kaawar, Hadi Hijazy, and Ali Marji.

He added that the movement's leaders are not busy determining whether the threats were real or empty and have already prepared for possible war.

Sheikh Qassem reiterated that Hezbollah will not halt the border battle aimed at supporting Gaza people and resistance till the end of the Zionist war on the Strip.

“Eye for Eye; God has always supported us,” Al-Manar quoted Sheikh Qassem as saying.

Hezbollah chief Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, too, had earlier warned that Israeli war on Lebanon will cause Hezbollah to unleash destructive power against the occupation regime.

"If the enemy thinks of waging a war on Lebanon, we will fight without restraint, without rules, without limits and without restrictions," Sayyed Nasrallah said in a televised speech on February 6.

"We are not afraid of war," he said, adding that "for now, we are fighting on the frontline following meticulous calculations".

Hezbollah and its arch-foe Israeli regime have exchanged near-daily fire over their border since the Israel-Hamas war broke out on October 7, but the Israeli assassination of top Hamas commander in Lebanon Saleh al-Arouri on January 2 opened the possibility for wider conflict.

Sayyed Nasrallah on February 13 warned Israeli leaders that if a war breaks out, they not only should not think about return of Israelis who fled their homes in the border regions, but also should expect two million of displaced civilians.

“You will have to find a place to shelter two million people from the north,” he said.

“All options are on the table. Our eyes are on Gaza as we fight on the border,” he said, directly addressing the Israeli regime. “If you widen [the front], we will widen. If you intensify, we will intensify.”
