Alwaght- Iran strongly condemns the brutal attack by the Israeli military forces that has killed at least five Palestinians in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank, said Iranian Foreign Minister Spokesman Nasser Kanani.
In a statement on Monday, Kanani rapped the “barbaric and criminal” attack by the Israeli regime’s military forces on the Jenin refugee camp.
He denounced the intensification of criminal Zionist acts in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip in the past recent months, the massacre of Palestinian citizens, including women, children and the elderly, and the demolition of the Palestinian houses and properties as a clear example of “organized crime and official terrorism”.
The Iranian spokesman also reminded the international community, particularly the United Nations, of its immediate responsibility to take action to deter such anti-human Israeli measures.
Voicing concern about the inaction of the UN and the countries of the world on the expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, Kanaani strongly criticized the muted response and passiveness of the Western governments to it.
The spokesman finally called on the international organizations and the supporters of Palestine to fulfill their legal, humanitarian and moral responsibility in defending the rights of the oppressed Palestinian nation and hold the Zionist regime accountable for these crimes that violate the international rules and regulations.
The Israeli forces raided the Jenin refugee camp early Monday morning, killing five Palestinians and wounding at least 91.
The Zionist soldiers stormed the camp, firing live ammunition, stun grenades and toxic gas.
One of the Palestinians killed is a child.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health has identified the victims as Ahmed Saqr, 15, Khaled Darwish, 21, Qassam Sariya, 19, and Qassam Faisal Abu Sirriya, 29.
The fifth victims has yet to be identified. Ten injured Palestinians are believed to be in critical condition.
