Alwaght-Senior Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzouk urges Muslims and Arabs to remain vigilant following intensification of Israeli regime plans to Judize al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem)
According to Palestinian Information Center, the Hamas officials called on Muslims and Arabs to engage in efforts aimed at thwarting all Israeli regime schemes to divide the site between Muslims and Israelis.
Abu Marzouk warned of ongoing attempts by the Israeli regime to divide the al-Aqsa Mosque and an upsurge in violations of Muslims’ freedom of worship at al-Aqsa.
He noted the indifference by the international community has made the Tel Aviv regime to be more brazen in its violations and sacrilegious acts at al-Aqsa.
The Hamas official urged the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and the Fatah Central Committee to seriously work on protecting al-Aqsa, saying their current preoccupations rather divide Palestinians instead of bringing them together.
“How on earth could we remain silent while our holy Quds—our nation’s destiny and pride—is coming under attack?” he said.
The Hamas official called for intensified media and socio-political campaigns to thwart Israeli regime’s Judaization schemes.
“Al-Aqsa is Muslims’ first Qibla and third holiest site,” he said. “It is high time Arab rulers woke up and prevented the Israeli regime from dividing the Mosque.”
He warned that if the Israeli regime succeeds in dividing Mosque that will be the start of the construction of a Jewish synagogue somewhere at al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
Abu Marzouk hailed the peaceful Muslim protesters who have been maintaining vigil at the Mosque, saying, “These people are the real bulletproof vest of al-Aqsa and the nation’s source of honor.”
