Israeli Media Claims Tel Aviv Communicates with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham

ALWAGHT- An Israeli media outlet reported that the Israeli regime maintains direct communication with various armed groups in Syria, including Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which led the offensive that captured Damascus early Sunday.

The Israeli news outlet Walla reported on Sunday that Israel engages with various groups in Syria, including Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), both directly and indirectly. According to the report, Israel’s primary objective is to prevent armed factions from approaching the border with the occupied territories.

Israeli media also confirmed the deployment of Brigade 98, paratroopers, and commandos to the Syrian border. Earlier, reports indicated that Israeli tanks had crossed the border fence in the occupied Golan Heights and entered Syrian territory, advancing into the Quneitra region in southern Syria.

These developments follow the collapse of Bashar al-Assad's government on Sunday after HTS-led armed groups seized the capital, Damascus.
