ALWAGHT- Special forces from the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Azerbaijani Army have commenced a joint military exercise along their shared border.
The joint military exercise, named “Aras 2024,” began on Sunday evening and will last for four days in the border regions of Iran’s northwestern Ardebil province.
According to the IRGC Ground Force's public relations office, the exercise aims to strengthen bilateral ties, enhance cooperation in combating armed and illegal organized groups, ensure the security of the shared border, improve military capabilities, and foster defense collaboration at both tactical and operational levels, as per previous agreements.
An Azerbaijani military delegation has arrived in Ardebil to observe the ongoing joint drill.
