Pezeshkian: Haniyeh’s Martyrdom Will Not Go Unanswered

ALWAGHT- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian cautioned the Zionist regime that its “grave error” in assassinating Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran will not go unaddressed.

During a meeting with Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi in Tehran on Sunday, President Masoud Pezeshkian denounced the Israeli regime's assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh as a breach of international regulations.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran calls on all Muslim countries and free nations to strongly condemn such acts,” he stated.

Pezeshkian criticized the biggest adversaries of freedom, democracy, and human rights for using their advanced capabilities to commit terrorist acts and heinous crimes while falsely portraying themselves as defenders of these values.

He added, “They claim to uphold freedom, democracy, and human rights, branding anyone who disagrees with them as an enemy of these principles.”

In response, the Jordanian foreign minister condemned Haniyeh’s assassination and viewed it as part of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s efforts to exacerbate regional tensions.

Safadi also condemned the Israeli regime’s violent attacks on the Gaza Strip since they began in October. He highlighted Jordan’s intention to renew relations with Iran and collaborate to foster stability, security, and peace in the region.

The Israeli regime assassinated the head of Hamas’s political bureau in Tehran early on July 31. Haniyeh, who was in Tehran to attend the inauguration of Iran’s new president, was killed by an aerial strike while staying at a special residence.

Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has warned of a "harsh response" to Haniyeh’s assassination, emphasizing that it is the Islamic Republic's duty to avenge the blood of the Palestinian resistance leader.
