ALWAGHT- The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) confirmed in a statement that Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Hamas resistance movement, was killed in Tehran in an Israeli assassination strike. The attack involved a projectile with a warhead weighing approximately 7 kg.
In its third statement following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in the early hours of July 31, the IRGC announced on Saturday that the attack was carried out by the Zionist regime with support from the "criminal US government."
The IRGC revealed that the investigation determined the operation was conducted using a "short-range projectile with a warhead weighing around 7 kilograms," causing a massive explosion. The projectile was launched from outside the guesthouse premises.
The IRGC reiterated its vow to avenge the "terrorist and adventurist Zionist regime," warning that Israel will face "harsh punishment" at a time and place of Iran's choosing.
