ALWAGHT- With the arrival of Eid in Gaza, the war crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Rafah and the displacement of more than a million unarmed civilians have forbidden any semblance of joy from the hearts of the mothers and children of this occupied territory.
According to The New Arab, the residents of Gaza have embraced the days leading up to Eid al-Adha much like they did following Eid al-Fitr. Despite enduring sieges, massacres, bidding farewell to cherished martyrs, and laying their blood-stained bodies to rest, they are observing this year's Eid al-Adha amidst even greater displacement, worsening conditions of hunger and thirst, and in circumstances more challenging than those during Eid al-Fitr.
After the hopeful Eid al-Fitr, where they hoped for a ceasefire and an end to the Zionist regime's war, the people of Gaza now confront additional crimes, shortages, and aggressions by the occupiers during Eid al-Adha.
On the Day of Arafah, many in Gaza observed the sacred rituals via television, despite the challenges of hunger, thirst, and food shortages in the region. They adhered to the Prophetic tradition of intending to fast during the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah.
