ALWAGHT- On Sunday evening, during the bombing of refugee tents in the Tel al-Sultan area of northwest Rafah, 45 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured, most of them women and children. This bombing took place in areas that the occupying regime had claimed to be safe.
Most political analysts anticipated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the leaders of the Zionist regime would retaliate for the heroic operation by the Islamic resistance in the Jabaliya camp in northern Gaza with a new massacre targeting civilians, particularly women and children, in Gaza. This expectation stemmed from the fact that the resistance lured 16 elite members of the occupying forces into a tunnel and attacked them with explosives when reinforcements arrived. All members of this group were killed, injured, or captured, and all their military equipment was seized. This operation revealed the falsehood of Netanyahu's claims about eliminating Hamas. Sadly, as analysts predicted, Netanyahu took out his defeat on Gaza's women and children.
This massacre profoundly shocked the global conscience, leading to greater recognition of the validity of the decisions by the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. The world witnessed Netanyahu's shameless and brazen declaration, just hours after the massacre, stating, "What happened in Rafah was a 'mistake'." He also asserted that he would not retreat and intended to continue the war until all its objectives were met, declaring that not even a thousand prosecutors in The Hague could stop him.
It is noteworthy that Netanyahu is being pursued by the International Criminal Court for committing crimes against humanity and war crimes over an eight-month period in Gaza. Despite this, he brazenly defies international laws and the global community by ordering the Rafah massacre. He boldly asserts, without any concern for global outrage or international laws, that he will continue committing crimes and massacres.
