ALWAGHT- Members of Iraqi anti-terrorism resistance factions employed a recently developed kamikaze drone in their attack on a vital target located in the southernmost area of the territories occupied by Israel since 1948, as a retaliatory measure against the regime's ongoing assaults on Gaza.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of anti-terrorism fighters, released a statement on its Telegram channel, claiming responsibility for an assault on a crucial facility in the Port of Eilat early Tuesday.
They asserted that the drone attack was a continuation of their resistance against the Israeli occupation, in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, and as a response to the massacres perpetrated by the Zionist entity against civilians, including women, children, and the elderly, in the besieged territory.
The group declared its intention to persist in targeting and dismantling significant installations throughout the occupied territories.
This strike marked the debut of al-Arfad suicide drones in operations targeting Israeli and US interests in the West Asia region.
Arfad drones bear a resemblance to the domestically-produced and long-range Sammad (Invincible) drones utilized by the Yemeni Armed Forces.
The Sammad drones are offered in three variations, each characterized by unique V-shaped tail fins and a pusher engine. They are equipped with a ventral protrusion and wing skids for takeoff and landing purposes.
