Alwaght- Turkish military killed 12 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) fighters in Turkey's southeast in the space of 48 hours the Dogan news agency reported on Friday.
Three Turkish security forces were also killed in two attacks in the country’s southeast on Friday.
In Diyarbakir, the region’s largest city, two police officers were killed in a bomb attack by Turkey-based Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Sur, state-run Anadolu news agency cited the provincial’s governor’s office as saying in a statement.
Meanwhile, In Cizre, a town close to the Syrian border in Sirnak province, a soldier was killed and four others injured in a rocket attack, the Turkish General Staff said in a statement.
The soldier passed away in hospital, the statement said. The four injured troops are not in a critical condition and are receiving treatment.
Turkey's military has killed hundreds of PKK members since recent escalation of tensions between Turkey regime and Kurds.
Since 1984 the PKK has waged an armed struggle against the Turkish state for cultural and political rights and self-determination for the Kurds in Turkey, who comprise between 18% and 25% of the population and have been subjected to repression for decades.
Since the break of the peace process between Turkey regime and PKK -that was launched in 2012 as an effort to end a bloody conflict that has killed more than 40,000 people in 30 years - more than 1700 PKK members and 200 Turkish security forces have been killed, according to Anatoly Agency.
