Hezbollah Faults Lebanese Government for Joining "Suspicious" Saudi Coalition

Alwaght-Lebanese Resistance Movement, Hezbollah has faulted the country’s move to join the so called “anti-terror" coalition led by the Saudi regime describing it as suspicious.
In a statement posted on Al Manar TV website, the party maintained that Lebanon has been a pioneer in combating all forms of terrorism-whether the chronic Israeli state sponsored terrorism or the current wave of Takfiri terrorism.
Hezbollah pointed out that the preliminary approval which was announced by the Lebanese PM Tammam Salam is a mere personal opinion which does not commit anyone, stressing that approving joining military alliances requires a legal and constitutional process in the government and the parliament.
Hezbollah expressed deep suspicions regarding the intentions and objectives behind the announcement of the "anti-terror" Saudi coalition. The statement noted that the coalition was formed in response to pressure from the US government.
The statement added that the coalition was hastily and suspiciously formed, what raises the questions about the worthiness of the Saudi regime as a leader of an anti-terror alliance while it continues to provide military and financial support to various terrorist groups across the region.
"It is no secret that Saudi Arabia is involved in state terrorism in Yemen and supports the terrorist groups in Syria, Iraq and Yemen."
Several countries listed in the coalition follow the Saudi policy of supporting terrorists, the statement noted.
On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia announced the creation of an ‘Islamic military alliance’ with a mission to fight terrorism. Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said the coalition of 34 Muslim states would fight the scourge in Iraq, Syria , Libya, Egypt and Afghanistan. African,Asian and Persian Gulf states form the coalition. Saudi state television said the headquarters of the alliance will be based in Riyadh.
Already major Muslim countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia and Oman have rejected the military alliance with Pakistan saying it learnt through the media of its inclusion in the list of 34 countries.
