Alwaght- Syrian army units continued to strike terrorist groups positions and hideouts in many areas across the country while inflicting heavy casualties and damages on the terrorists.
The army and the Lebanese resistance, Hezbollah, continued operations in Zabadani city in Damascus Countryside and blockaded the armed terrorist groups in a 1 square kilometer area.
According the official Syrian News Agency SANA, the army killed and injured a number of terrorists in the operation while 8 terrorists, including two terrorists gang leaders surrendered to authorities.
In Idleb, Syrian army’s air force targeted movements of terrorists in the villages of al-Baraghiti, Hmeimat, Khsheir and Tal al-Louz in the vicinity of Abu al-Duhour airport in the southeastern countryside of the Northern Province.
Reports say Syrian forces destroyed a training camp for al-Nusra Front terrorists in Ennib village, leaving dozens of terrorists in the site dead or wounded.
In the neighboring Hama province, army units targeted terrorists’ hideouts in the northwestern countryside of the province, killing a number of terrorists, injuring others, and destroying a number of their vehicles, some of which were equipped with machineguns, along with military equipment.
Elsewhere in the eastern countryside of Homs province the Syrian Air Force carried out a series of airstrikes targeting hideouts and concentrations of ISIS terrorists in Tadmur (Palmyra) city, al-Bayyarat, and the surroundings of Jazal oil field. The airstrikes resulted in the destruction of a number of vehicles used by ISIS terrorists.
Meanwhile in the northeastern countryside of the southern province of Sweida Syrian forces clashed with members of two terrorist groups affiliated to the ISIS terrorist group. A military source told SANA Sunday that a number of ISIS terrorists were killed and injured; their weapons and equipment destroyed, while the rest of its members fled leaving their weapons and ammunition behind.
In neighboring province of Quneitra, a Syrian army unit destroyed a hideout of terrorist groups’ leaders within al-Nusra Front in Um al-Izam village in Khan Arnaba area in the southern Quneitra province.
Elsewhere Syrian troops targeted hideouts of terrorists from al-Nusra Front in the town of Rabe’a in Lattakia’s northern countryside, killing at least six terrorists including one from Turkey and another from Chechnya and destroying their weapons and munitions.
Foreign-backed terrorists have been operating against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad since March 2011.
Syria blames western countries led by the US and their regional allies including the Israeli regime, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey for being the main backers of terrorists fighting to topple the country’s legitimate government.
