Alwaght- ISIS terrorist group claimed its fighters have killed seven Russian soldiers during clashes in the eastern countryside of Hama.
The terrorist group's self-style news agency released on Saturday photos of the alleged Russian soldiers killed in Uqayribat town; however, the personnel were unidentified.
According to some observers, the Russian personnel killed in east Hama, Friday, were likely defense contractors that were working alongside the Syrian Arab Army, South Front newswebsite reported.
Several Russian defense contractors are working across Syria to advise the Syrian Arab Army in their fight against foreign backed militancy that has claimed lives of hundreds of thousands of Syrian people since 2011.
Moreover, Amaq claimed that 10 Syrian soldiers were killed in a VBIED attack on their positions in al-Na’aimah village east of Uqayribat town.
Syrian army's 5th Assault Corps’ ISIS Hunters said earlier that ISIS terrorists launched a counter attack on Uqayribat town adding, women and children suicide bombers were among the attackers.
The Syrian army battle against ISIS in the eastern Hama countryside could be considered one of the hardest battles in Syria so far. Hundreds of ISIS terrorists remained in the area after the Syrian army failed to push them out in the beginning of 2017.
On Saturday, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies have captured Rajm al-Hajanah village and the Safiah mount near the Bishri mount in the northwestern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria.
The SAA also captured Tal Abid and al-Hirah villages in the southeastern Raqqa countryside.
Moreover, the al-Masdar News website claimed that the SAA captured Jabal Nazerat, Jabal Nairaman, and Jabal Admah north of al-Sukhnah-Dier Ezzor highway. If this is true, the SAA is now less than 30km away from the ISIS-besieged city of Deir Ezzor.
If the SAA continues this speed of the advance, it may reach Deir Ezzor city within a week.
