Alwaght- Hundreds of Ethiopian Jews in a rally planned by the Ethiopian Jewish Community in Haifa poured to the streets to voice their anger against Israeli regime’s racism and police brutality , as chanting “Black or white, we are all human beings.”
A video clip which shows Israeli regime's police mistreating a black soldier, the anti-racism protests were sparked which has highlighted troubles of Ethiopian Jews in Israeli regime living in discrimination, racism and poverty.
A video clip emerged last week showing two Zionist policemen shoving and punching a black soldier. The video showed the soldier, Damas Pakada, standing and holding a bicycle's handle bars when an officer approached him and forcefully turned him and the bike around toward the opposite direction.
One protestor told media tonight's protest took place “to ensure that members of our community aren't judged solely on the color of their skin by Israeli society.”
“I’ve been suffering from police racism for 30 years and every place in the Israeli establishment. We just want equality. We are all human beings,” 32-year old Haifa resident, Avishai Adaneh said.
“Tel Aviv should provide answers to the question of how it’s possible that members of the community continue to suffer from discrimination and crime in the neighborhoods they live in”, a protest organizer said.
