Alwaght- Bahraini regime agrees an Israeli sport delegation enter Manama for FIFA congress.
Bahrain approved the Israeli Football Association (IFA) to enter the country to take part in the upcoming congress, the President of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA), Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said on Tuesday.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) is set to hold its congress in Manama on 11 May 2017.
Speaking to the Bahraini al-Bilad newspaper, Ali bin Khalifa says the approval by the football association was declared after they received green light from other related authorities on the issue.
However he claimed they promised authorities not to give “political dimensions” to the visit.
Trying to prevent future possible protests by the Bahraini people, the Bahraini official called the visit unimportant and said "it is sure that Bahrain's hosting of FIFA Congress is much more important than the entry of 3 members of the Israeli Football Association to Bahrain. We always see the glass as half full. It is clear that we are not the only ones who preferred politics to sports".
Arab Countries of the Persian Gulf region do not have political relations with the Israeli regime but in recent years some of them, led by the Saudi Arabia are trying to instate such relations through informal or secret visits that many believe are aimed at establishing political relations. However these measures are taken gradually as well as clandestinely, because such ease of relation with the Israeli regime will definitely face severe protests by Arab nations who consider Tel Aviv regime as their top enemy.
