Alwaght: Yemen's revolutionary movement, Ansarullah stressed that any solution to the conflict in the war-torn country must guarantee the end of Saudi aggression and blockade.
In a message posted on his Facebook account, Ansarullah spokesman Mohammad Abdulsalam said the movement will reject any peace plan that fails to stop Saudi aggression, lift an air and naval blockade and remove economic restrictions.
Any solution to end the crisis should be agreed by all the involved parties, Abdulsalam said on his account following meeting with the UN envoy in the capital Sana’a.
Abdulsalam’s remarks come as a fresh round of UN-sponsored peace talks between warring sides is set to kick off in Kuwait on Friday.
Ansarullah movement officials left Sana’a on Thursday for Kuwait to resume UN-mediated talks, amid threats of a boycott by the Saudi-backed delegation.
Previous peace talks failed due to intransigence by the Saudi-backed group of fugitive and resigned Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
The Ansarullah movement is demand the formation of a unity all-inclusive government in Yemen, while the Saudi-led group wants to dominate power in the deeply divided country.
The talks are set to continue as a UN-mediated fragile ceasefire continues officially in Yemen, although numerous airstrikes by Saudi Arabia targeting civilians were reported.
Nearly 10,000 Yemenis have been killed during the illegal Saudi-led aggression on Yemen since March 2015, with the vast majority of them being innocent civilians including women and children.
Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to the Saudi regime.
The strikes have also taken a heavy toll on the country’s facilities and infrastructure, destroying many hospitals, markets, schools, factories and mosques.
