Alwaght- Israeli regime media outlets have praised Egypt’s NileSat telecommunications company for blocking Hezbollah’s Al Manar TV channel's broadcast via its satellite.
Zionist media outlets have welcomed the banning of Al Manar saying the move is within the context of the struggle between the axis of resistance and the so-called "moderate" Arab states.
The Zionist analysts focused on Russia's move of enabling Al Manar to broadcast via its satellite, noting that it complements Moscow's support to Hezbollah in Syria.
They also pointed out that NileSat move against Al Manar matches the Saudi pressures on Hezbollah after blacklisting the party as a terrorist group.
Nilesat Managing Board blocked the broadcast of Al Manar TV channel across the Nilesat signals starting from 08:00 a.m. Cairo time on Wednesday.
The Egyptian Satellite Company justified the decision by claiming that the Al Manar TV violated the agreement signed between both parties and broadcast programs which provoke sectarian strife and sedition. The decision came hours before Saudi King Salman arrived in Cairo for talks with Egyptian officials.
In December 2015 Saudi-based satellite communications operator Arabsat also stopped broadcasting Al-Manar television channel.
In response, Al Manar said, “Al Manar is the voice of the Bahrainis, Saudis, Iraqis, Syrians, Tunisians, Egyptians and all the Arabs and Muslims,” vowing to continue its coverage of the developments in the region and the entire Muslim world.
The television channel also emphasized that it will keep up its support for the Palestinian cause, adding any move to block it cannot stop Al Manar from “conveying the resistance’s voice in face of oppression.”
