The Growth of Takfiris' Extremism in North of Afghanistan

Sunday 11 May 2014
The Growth of Takfiris' Extremism in North of Afghanistan

Alwaght-Over years, the widespread extremism in Islamic countries particularly in Afghanistan and Pakistan has been a challenge.  It seems that extremism will be expanded in other countries such as countries of  West Asia.  As an evidence of extremism, so called Islamic thoughts of some extremists in a religious school for Afghan girls in north of Afghanistan has increased the worries among Afghan young women for the growth of fundamentalism in this region.

The establishment of the religious schools in northern parts of Afghanistan in particular Kandahar province seems to be the most important issue.  According to the founders of this school, the state schools of Afghanistan are not Islamic and consequently their students are unbeliever.  This very serious issue should be considered carefully and sensitively.  As an example, in a school named Ashraf-ul-Madaris, listening to Radio, watching TV, recording, holding Teacher day, Mother Day, Nowruz day& Birthday, and even working outside the home for women are forbidden.  Therefore, the principles of teaching in these schools are so rigidly strict.

In Ashraf-ul-Madaris of Kunduz city, 6000 female students are learning religious things in a eighty-year-old state building.  Mulavi Abdul Khaliq and Mufti Sirajuddin, the influential Mullahs in Kunduz city founded this high school four years ago. The students of Ashraf-ul-Madaris are strongly against state movements and schools of Afghanistan.  They believe that the principles of religion are not completely run and followed in Afghanistan.

According to the principals of Ashraf-ul-Madaris high school, Ashraf-ul-Madaris has some other branches in Takhar, Baghlan, and Nangarhar.  It is expected that other branches of Ashraf-ul-Madaris will be founded in nine other provinces including Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

In fact, the movements and schools like Ashraf-ul-Madaris are propagators of Talibanism and Wahhabism.  Lack of development of state schools and new teachings in some regions of Afghanistan can be the main reason behind the increasingly growth of these schools particularly in the deprived regions of Afghanistan. In addition,  Al-Saud's financial supports and sending Wahhabi teachers to Ashraf-ul-Madaris high schools can be among other influential factors in founding these schools.  It seems that the graduates of Ashraf-ul-Madaris will create tensions in future between Sunni and Shiite and make crises such as Sectarianism and Ethnicism in Afghanistan.  This is like what Pakistan right now suffers.  Ashraf-ul-Madaris high schools are not new phenomena in Afghanistan.  Taliban of Afghanistan can be considered the output of such schools.

According to principles of Ashraf-ul-Madaris, they are trying to teach religious things to the young girls, whereas their teachings are against True Islam and even Afghans' national conventions.  The main cause of movements such as Wahhabism and Talibanism is the extreme understandings of religion.  These extreme thoughts endanger the security of Afghanistan and other countries in Mideast and West Asia.

In fact, such thoughts are against True Islam.  Taking  no action against Wahabisim and their teaching methodology, will expand the idiosyncratically dangerous extremists and extremism in future, which  may darken the true face of Islam.
