At Iran Corridor Summit, Pezeshkian Praises Regional Collaboration

ALWAGHT- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian commended regional leaders for working to enhance security and sovereignty, emphasizing collaboration free from foreign oversight.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian praised regional leaders at the “Iran Corridor 2026” conference for their efforts to strengthen security, sovereignty, and governance, calling such initiatives “worthy of appreciation.” He emphasized that regional states can resolve disputes independently, without the need for foreign oversight or a “guardian,” highlighting the importance of peaceful dialogue and collective engagement.

Pezeshkian stressed that conflict brings no benefits and that no country gains from violence or war, urging regional actors to adopt peaceful approaches to disputes. He underlined the value of cooperation in maintaining stability, security, and development across neighboring countries.

The Iranian president also reaffirmed Tehran’s close ties with Russia, describing bilateral relations as “very deep and broad” and highlighting ongoing strategic cooperation. This follows recent talks in Moscow between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ali Larijani, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary, focusing on economic collaboration and regional security issues, signaling growing coordination between Tehran and Moscow.
