Iran Expresses Willingness to Collaborate with IAEA: Foreign Minister

ALWAGHT- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirmed Tehran’s willingness to engage in constructive collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency, adhering to the established technical guidelines.

In a phone call on Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi discussed the status of cooperation between Tehran and the UN nuclear agency within the framework of the safeguards agreement.

Araghchi criticized certain IAEA Board of Governors members for unconstructive actions that, according to him, have impeded the director general's efforts to address safeguard-related issues, as reported by the Foreign Ministry’s website.

The foreign minister reiterated Iran’s commitment to constructive technical collaboration with the IAEA.

Grossi, in response, reaffirmed the IAEA’s determination to engage seriously with Iran and mentioned ongoing consultations with other parties aimed at fostering a conducive environment for resolving outstanding issues in the discussions.
