ALWAGHT- Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, has pledged that the Lebanese resistance group will follow the path laid out by its former leader, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, and accomplish the objectives he established.
Sheikh Naim Qassem, Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary General, delivered a televised speech on Monday commemorating the late Hezbollah leader, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike. Qassem vowed that Hezbollah would continue Nasrallah's legacy and maintain its resistance against Israel, despite the sacrifices and losses. He emphasized the group's unwavering commitment to supporting Palestine and resisting Israeli aggression.
In his remarks, Sheikh Qassem expressed condolences to key figures in the Shia community, including Imam Mahdi and Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, as well as to resistance fighters and supporters worldwide. He praised Nasrallah as a great leader and fighter who followed the teachings of Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei, noting his deep dedication to the struggle for the liberation of Palestine and al-Quds.
Qassem condemned Israeli forces for targeting civilians and infrastructure rather than engaging in direct combat with resistance fighters. He also criticized the United States for its military and financial support of Israel, framing their alliance as complicit in the ongoing violence in Lebanon.
Sheikh Qassem assured that Hezbollah is prepared for any potential Israeli ground invasion, stating that the group's military strength remains intact despite Israeli efforts to weaken it. He highlighted Hezbollah's recent attacks, such as the targeting of the Ma’ale Adumim settlement, and warned that the group's current actions represent only a portion of its capabilities.
He concluded by announcing that Hezbollah would soon select a new Secretary General and expressed his gratitude to the Lebanese government, political factions, and civil society for their support. Qassem predicted that Hezbollah would achieve victory, as it did during the 2006 conflict with Israel.
