ALWAGHT- The Iranian Foreign Ministry denounced the Israeli regime's airstrikes, which claimed the lives of nearly 300 people in Lebanon on Monday.
In a statement on Monday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani strongly condemned the deadly Israeli airstrikes on residential areas in southern Lebanon, which have killed scores of civilians. He criticized the silence and support from the US and other Western backers of Israel, accusing them of enabling the Zionist regime's continued crimes against Palestine and its efforts to escalate the conflict across the region. Kanaani warned of the dangerous consequences of Israel's new provocations.
He described the latest Israeli attacks on Lebanon as reckless, arguing that the international community's leniency towards Israel's actions over the past year has emboldened the regime to continue its crimes and genocide. Kanaani further denounced the Israeli strikes on both Palestine and Lebanon as blatant threats to regional and global peace, urging the UN Security Council to take immediate action to stop the atrocities.
At least 274 people have been killed and over 1,024 injured in Israeli attacks across Lebanon, with children, women, and paramedics among the casualties.
