Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that the relationship between Russia and North Korea is grounded in equality and mutual respect. He noted the preparation of a new foundational document that underpins long-term and stable relations between the two countries. Putin acknowledged North Korea's steadfast support for Moscow's foreign policy and expressed confidence that the ongoing discussions would yield positive outcomes.
Putin underscored that both Moscow and Pyongyang pursue independent foreign policies and reject coercion and dictation.
He also expressed optimism about the upcoming meeting with the North Korean leader in Moscow, hoping for productive talks.
During the meeting, Kim Jong Un voiced support for Russia's military operations and remarked that relations between North Korea and Russia are entering a new phase of prosperity.
He further stated, "Russia contributes to global stability and strategic equilibrium, and we endorse Russia's engagement in specialized military operations."
Yesterday, Putin visited the capital of North Korea for the first time in 24 years to meet with its leader.
