ALWAGHT- The Security Council passed the U.S.-proposed resolution to halt the conflict in Gaza, which Hamas welcomed.
President Joe Biden previously stated that the Israeli government had proposed a three-stage plan to Hamas, aimed at ending hostilities in Gaza and releasing all prisoners.
Hamas, in a statement, welcomed the Security Council's approved resolution, which includes a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the complete withdrawal of occupying forces, a prisoner exchange, Gaza's reconstruction, the return of Palestinians to their homes, opposition to demographic changes or territorial reductions in Gaza, and the entry of humanitarian aid.
Additionally, Hamas expressed readiness to collaborate with intermediaries for indirect negotiations on implementing these principles, aligning with the desires of Palestinians and the resistance movement.
