Ayatollah Khamenei Affirms Kurds as Part of Our Community

ALWAGHT- Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has emphasized the close ties between Iran and Kurdish communities.

During a visit to Tehran on May 6, Nechirvan Barzani, the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, held talks with Ayatollah Khamenei.

The Khat-e-Hezbollah weekly published further insights into the meeting, stating that Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the strong connection between the Iranian people and the Kurds. "We regard our relationship with the Kurdish community, whether in Iran or Iraq, as closer than with any other nation," affirmed the Leader during the discussion with Barzani.

Ayatollah Khamenei conveyed to Barzani, 'The Kurds are part of our community.' Later on, May 6, during a meeting with the Iranian foreign minister, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) expressed his satisfaction with the productive and constructive discussion with Ayatollah Khamenei, stating that Erbil is committed to bolstering relations with Tehran.
