In the neighborhood of Rafah city, Hamas engages in fierce confrontations with adversary forces attempting to penetrate the eastern outskirts

ALWAGHT- The Qassam Brigades declared that there are intense clashes with Israeli occupation forces to the east of Rafah, situated in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military branch, highlighted that their fighters have entered intense confrontations with invading forces of the occupying regime to the eastern outskirts of Rafah city, located in the southern area of the Gaza Strip.
Intense clashes have been reported between the occupying army and resistance forces in the eastern region of Rafah province, especially in the areas of Amer, Al Shawka, and around the Rafah crossing.

The announcement from the Quds Force, a military faction of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, highlights the intense clashes its fighters are involved in as they advance into Rafah's eastern city limits, using mortar fire and offensive weaponry against enemy troops and vehicles.

In response, Martin Griffiths, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations for Humanitarian Affairs, expressed concerns about the Zionist regime's decision to assault Rafah. He warned that the forced evacuation of Palestinian homes and the Israeli military's attack will inevitably lead to more casualties and displacement.

Griffiths also pointed out that the closure of the Rafah crossing will hinder aid and international forces from entering Gaza. Despite this, our personnel remain in Rafah, where over a million Palestinians, including 600,000 children, reside.

Despite international objections, the war cabinet of the Zionist regime confirmed a ground invasion of this southern Gaza Strip city on Monday, following the issuance of evacuation orders for Rafah. Since Tuesday, parts of the city have been under the control of this regime's army.

This operation commenced shortly after Hamas announced its acceptance of a ceasefire proposal from Egypt and Qatar. However, the Zionist regime contended that the proposal failed to meet its essential demands.

The potential assault on Rafah in southern Gaza coincides with warnings from the United Nations and other nations to the occupying regime's army regarding the repercussions of its ground attack on Rafah, resulting in the displacement of over a million people.
