ALWAGHT- Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has warned the United States and Israel of an inevitable and decisive response to their actions.
In a meeting with students, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, issued a stern warning to the United States and Israel, indicating that they would face a decisive response for their actions against Iran and the broader resistance front. He framed this potential response not as mere revenge but as a logical reaction rooted in religious, ethical, and Sharia principles, as well as international standards. Iranian officials have already committed to retaliating against recent Israeli attacks on the border cities of Ilam and Khuzestan and an incident in Tehran.
Ayatollah Khamenei's remarks were delivered on the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance, which commemorates the 1979 US embassy takeover by Iranian students. He emphasized Iran's ongoing commitment to defending itself against perceived global arrogance through military preparedness and political strategies. He described the embassy takeover as a justified reaction to what was seen as a center for anti-revolutionary activities, marking a significant moment in Iranian history that is annually recognized with nationwide rallies advocating for resistance against imperialism.
The Leader also articulated a broader philosophical perspective, stating that resisting oppression is a fundamental duty for the Iranian people, as "arrogance" embodies total domination and the subjugation of nations. He referenced historical grievances, including the CIA-backed 1953 coup that overthrew Iran's democratically elected government and the establishment of SAVAK, an intelligence agency notorious for its repression, created with the assistance of the CIA and Israel’s Mossad. Khamenei reiterated that Iran's opposition to global arrogance is deeply rooted in its historical experiences, framing it as a rational and principled struggle that continues to shape the nation's identity and resolve.
