Alwaght- Syrian air defenses have shoot down missile launched at the Shayrat airbase in the central province of Homs and the al-Dumayr military airport in Damascus.
According to Syria's state television early on Tuesday, all the missiles were intercepted before they could reach their target in Homs.
"Syrian air defense shot down missiles that entered its airspace over Homs," said the report.
Up to 10 missiles were destroyed by the Syrian Armed Forces in the Homs attack while the three missiles that targeted al -Dumayr airport in Damascus were all allegedly downed by the Syrian air defenses.
According to yet unconfirmed reports, the missiles entered Syrian airspace from Lebanon, which may indicate that the Israeli Regime's Air Force could have been involved.
The US and the Israeli regime have denied being behind that attack. "There is no US military activity in that area at this time," Eric Pahond, a Pentagon spokesman said. "We do not have additional details to provide." An Israeli spokesman also claimed that "I'm not aware of such an incident."
Shayrat airbase was targeted last year in a US cruise missile attack in response to an alleged chemical attack that killed at least 70 people, including children on the militant held town of Khan Shaykhun.
The attacks come about a week after the Israeli regime confirmed carrying out an attack on a Syrian airbase came under in the countryside of the western city of Homs.
The latest attack also comes few days after, the US, Britain and France carried out a string of airstrikes against Syria and based their aggression on alleged chemical weapons use in Douma which they blamed the Syrian government.
Syrian air defences shot down 71 of 103 missiles fired by the US and its allies early Saturday using Soviet-era S-125, S-200, Buk and Kvadrat systems.
Damascus has strongly denied the allegation and invited Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to probe the alleged assault.
