Alwaght- Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that the funeral procession of Mohsen Hojaji, an Iranian military adviser who was brutally beheaded by ISIS terrorists in Syria, will be held in Tehran on Wednesday.
Hojaji, called by Iranians as holy shrine defender, was taken hostage by the ISIS Takfiri group near the Iraqi border on August 7 brutally beheaded two days later and published their crime’s footage on social media.
The shrine of Sayyida Zeinab, sister of third Shiite Imam Hossein inb Ali (AS), is located in Damascus, Syria. Iranian military advisers have played a decisive role in the protection of the holy shrine against terrorist attacks who repeatedly tried to blow up the holy site.
Regarding the fact that Hojaji’s death triggered great sentiments among Iranians, it is anticipated that people of all walks of life massively take part in the procession.
Earlier, the funeral of Martyr Hojaji had been slated to be held in Tehran on September 2 but the event was postponedStatistics due to some unannounced reasons.
