ALWAGHT- The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has responded to the ongoing attacks by the United States and the United Kingdom on Yemeni territory.
During his weekly press conference on Monday, Nasser Kanani addressed the recent aggressive actions by the United States and the United Kingdom against Yemen.
He stated, "In recent months, we have observed direct aggression from the American government and violations of Yemen's territorial sovereignty by the US military, aided by the British regime."
Kanani added that these actions by the US have contributed to regional instability.
The senior Iranian diplomat strongly condemned the US and UK attacks on Yemen, asserting, "We support Yemen's political process and efforts to establish peace through negotiations."
He also noted that Yemenis have expressed their solidarity with Palestine’s fight against Israeli occupation, especially following the outbreak of a devastating war on Gaza on October 7. This conflict was triggered by a surprise retaliatory attack from Palestinian resistance movements, known as Operation Al-Aqsa Storm.
Yemeni Armed Forces have declared that they will continue their attacks until the relentless Israeli ground and aerial offensives in Gaza cease.
In December, the United States and Britain announced a military coalition aimed at targeting Yemen in support of Israel.
