Alwaght- On Friday, Hezbollah published a footage of its Emad 4 underground base, sending shivers down the spine of the already confused and rattled Israelis.
The footage unveiled a "underground missile city" with long and wide tunnels in which trucks carrying missiles and cyclists riding easily.
This video clip, as expected, quickly hit the headline of the regional and especially Israeli media outlets that are closely watching Lebanon and northern front's developments as there is a threat of Axis of Resistance's response to Israel for the assassination of Hamas’s Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
This issue which caused surprise of the foreign observers from Hezbollah capabilities carries many messages and aspects that are worth considering.
Signals of warning with regard to element of time
First of all, unveiling these military capabilities came in a sensitive and completely targeted time.
The showoff of the missile capabilities of Hezbollah came after back-to-back visits of the US envoy to Lebanon Amos Hochstein and the French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne both of whome maneuvering diplomatically in favor of Israel, especially that Hochstein in his meeting with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri warned that Israel will wage a "devastating war" should Hezbollah respond to Israel for assassination of its commander Fuad Shukr.
Therefore, the new video, revealing a part of the Hezbollah’s secret facilities, contains the message that Hezbollah is not only not afraid of the threat of the enemy and will carry out the operation to punish the regime as its chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah promised, but also even has the ability to ground the American military bases and forces that are mobilized to protect Israel.
Also, in terms of timing, this footage should not be seen separate from the Doha ceasefire talks and the Israeli strategy to take advantage of the continuation of the genocidal war on Gaza people to wrest concessions from Hamas, and naturally Hezbollah with display of its missile city has unveiled a pressure card against the US and Israeli regime.
Four tactical achievements
Beside the significance of the element of time, the publication of this clip carries multiple messages in terms of content, tactic, and form that will push the security, intelligence, and political officials of Israel to a state of fear, confusion, uncertainty, and incapability in deterrence— a situation the settlers are living these days.
Firstly: The missile city of Hezbollah is named Emad 4, a naming that carries two messages in its depth:
A. It commemorates the feats of the great commander of Hezbollah Emad Mughniyeh and his role in enhancing the military capabilities and manpower of the resistance.
B: The second message is hidden in the number of the base, which means that there are other underground bases and horrible tunnels which are unclear how far they go near the borders with the occupied territories.
Secondly: The review of the footage not only reiterated the inevitablity of the response Nasrallah said is "in its way", but also shows that Hezbollah is preparing a devastating response if the Israelis make a mistake to wage a preemptive offensive against Lebanon.
Thirdly: This video, which was recorded at an unknown depth underground, shows trucks carrying rockets and fixed and mobile launchers, which proves Hezbollah holds advanced missiles with high destructive power and can reach the farthest point inside occupied Palestine.
Meanwhile, the complement of these missile capabilities is the bank of precise and extensive targets that Hezbollah has of military, economic, infrastructural, nuclear and residential areas of Israel that were published under Hod Hod 1, 2, and 3 footages in recent weeks, carrying name of the drone that filmed sensitive sites in the occupied territories. They also remind of the remarks of Hezbollah chief who said in March that "the resistance now has precision missiles at its disposal, and if war is imposed on Lebanon, Israel will face a fate and reality it has never expected, from Kiryat Shemona to Eilat."
Fourth: Display of the missile cities is indeed a continuation of the psychological warfare against the Israeli regime, as Hezbollah chief has shown that he has special skills to weaken morale of the Israelis and sink them in chaos.
The naming of the missile city after commander Emad is a reminder to the Israelis of the historic defeat of Tel Aviv in the 33-Day War of 2006 and how great and forward-looking the actions and plans of Martyr Mughniyeh were to develop the military infrastructure of the resistance for the day of final war with the Israeli regime.
Another point about the psychological warfare is disclosure of the intelligence weakness of the Israelis and their failure to estimate the missile, air, and ground power of Hezbollah on the one hand and the nature, shape, and length of the tunnels on the other hand. This surprise, especially with the very bitter experience of the Israeli army in the past ten months to deal with the network of Hamas tunnels in Gaza and the victories that the resistance has gained over the Israelis, will add to the worries of the Israelis.
This footage is published with English and Hebrew subtiles to address the Israelis and the world public opinion to send the message that with regard to the deterrence of Hezbollah, Netanyahu's stupidity in waging an offensive on Lebanon will usher in a massive war that would deeply challenge the regional security.
Emad 4 footage was extremely short, but its message to the Israelis and their supporters was that they should think well and expect much from the opposite side before making a foolish mistake.
