ALWAGHT- Iraq's foreign minister is set to travel to Washington next month to formally announce the withdrawal of American military forces from the country, according to informed sources.
Sources have stated that during the Iraqi foreign minister's forthcoming visit to the US, he and the US Secretary of State will hold a press conference to announce the end of the US-led international military coalition’s mission in Iraq.
The withdrawal of international coalition forces from Iraq, excluding the Kurdish region, is scheduled to begin in September 2025, according to the sources. The withdrawal from the Kurdistan Region is planned for September 2026.
