Iraqis abstain from sacrificing animals during Eid al-Adha

Iraqis abstain from sacrificing animals during Eid al-Adha

ALWAGHT- This year, Iraqis have chosen to donate the funds for sacrificial animals during Eid al-Adha to the war-affected people of the Gaza Strip. If they carry out the sacrifices, they plan to send the meat to Gaza.

The "Arabi 21" news website reported that many Iraqis have decided to forgo animal sacrifices for Eid al-Adha this year and instead donate the funds to Gaza, due to the humanitarian crisis and the devastating war by the occupying regime.

In line with this, the Iraqi Fiqh Council issued a fatwa directing Iraqis to send their sacrificial funds to the people of Gaza.

The council's fatwa highlighted that this initiative is a way to support Muslims and meet the needs of the needy.

Amid the genocidal war by the Zionist regime in Gaza, which started on October 7, this year's Eid al-Adha in the Gaza Strip is being observed "in a sorrowful atmosphere and without sacrifices."
