Alwaght- Former political leader of Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has emphasized that the Palestinian people will resist and foil the so-called US deal of the century and Washington’s plan to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem).
Former Head of Hamas’s Political bureau, Khaled Mishaal has said that the US President Donald Trump’s recognition of al-Quds as the capital of Israeli regime is a crime that will not be allowed to pass.
During a workshop, staged by Fatih Sultan Mehmet Waqf University in Istanbul, Mishaal said that the US decision to relocate the embassy next May is a big crime aiming at liquidating the Palestinian Cause.
Mishaal asked the international community to support Palestinians and to condemn and confront the US unjust decision.
Meanwhile, Hamas has called on Palestinians to take to the streets on May 14 and to declare it as a day of anger in protest at the US President Donald Trump’s decision on al-Quds.
On Friday, Washington said it was ready to open the new embassy in al-Quds on May 14, the day the occupying Israeli entity was established and officially recognized by Washington in 1948. The US State Department said on Friday it would open an embassy in al-Quds in May to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the usurper Israeli regime on occupied Palestinian territories
Elsewhere, an international organization of Muslim scholars based in Qatar has called for a “public and official uprising” against a recent decision by the United States to move its embassy to occupied al-Quds in May.
"We call for a Palestinian, Arab and Islamic uprising against this American aggression,” Secretary General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), Ali al-Qaradaghi, said in a statement on Sunday.
He added, “al-Quds is the cause of [our Muslim] nation and abandoning it or changing its identity will be a disgrace.”
