Iranian navy joined Pakistan in a naval drill inside the territorial waters of the eastern neighbor, near Karachi

Alwaght- Iranian navy joined Pakistan in a naval drill inside the territorial waters of the eastern neighbor, near Karachi.

The 43rd flotilla of the Iranian navy including the logistic Lavan warship, Falakhan and Khanjar warships, equipped with missile-launchers, troop-carrier Konarak warship and the domestically-manufactured SH helicopter docked at Karachi port on 27 September.

The drill is based on a predetermined scenario including search and rescue training, helicopter vertical reference training, telecommunication exercises using flags, lights, radiographs and the formation and combination of the surface vessels of Iran and Pakistan.

A detachment of Pakistan's fleet of warships had berthed in Iran's territorial waters in the Southern port city of Bandar Abbas in April.

During their stay in Iran's territorial waters, the commanders and officers of Pakistan's Rahnaward (sail training ship) and PMSS Nusrat (corvette) visited the country's naval capabilities and training centers.

The two countries held their last naval drill in Iranian territorial waters in 2014.
