ALWAGHT- The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson extended condolences to Pakistan following the deaths of numerous Pakistani Arbaeen pilgrims in a bus crash near Iran’s central city of Yazd.
In a Wednesday post on his X account, Nasser Kanaani conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Pakistani government and the families of the victims of the tragic bus crash.
He highlighted that Iranian organizations were actively engaged in rescue and relief efforts following the incident.
The crash occurred on Tuesday night when a bus carrying Pakistani pilgrims en route to Iraq for the Arbaeen pilgrimage veered off the road due to a braking system failure and struck the wall of a government building near Iran’s central city of Yazd. The accident resulted in 28 fatalities and 21 injuries.
