ALWAGHT- The Israeli military has reported the death of another soldier as resistance fighters continue their retaliatory actions amid the ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli military announced on Monday that 19-year-old Sergeant Omer Ginzburg, of the 101st Paratroopers Brigade, was killed in a sniper attack in the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis.
Meanwhile, the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, stated that its fighters, in coordination with the Saraya al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, had sniped an Israeli soldier in the al-Zana area, east of Khan Yunis.
According to the regime’s military figures, 690 Israeli soldiers have been killed since October 7, 2023, including 330 since the ground invasion of Gaza began later that month.
Earlier reports from Israeli media suggested that the regime underreports casualties among its forces, with the number of fatalities announced by the Israeli military being significantly lower than figures provided by hospitals in the occupied territories.
Israel launched its Gaza offensive after Hamas conducted a significant operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for its escalating atrocities against the Palestinian people.
However, over 10 months into the campaign, the Tel Aviv regime has failed to achieve its stated objectives and is increasingly entangled in the Gaza conflict.
So far, the Tel Aviv regime has killed at least 39,790 Palestinians, primarily women and children, and injured 92,002 others.
