ALWAGHT- The Yemeni armed forces reported targeting three vessels of the Zionist regime using missile and drone operations in the Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Aden.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, announced today (Thursday, May 9, 2024) the targeting of three ships associated with or belonging to the Zionist regime in the Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Aden.
The Yemeni armed forces spokesperson underscored that they launched a coordinated operation, targeting two Israeli vessels, the MSC Diego and the MSC GINA, using drone strikes and multiple ballistic missiles in the Gulf of Aden.
Furthermore, the missile unit targeted the MSC VITTORIA ship twice, once in the Indian Ocean and again in the Arabian Sea, successfully striking it with a missile.
In a related development, Zeifullah al-Shami, a prominent figure in the Ansarullah movement in Yemen, stated to Al-Alam on Tuesday (May 7) that the movement would consider scaling down its activities against Zionist targets if the aggression against Gaza ceases and humanitarian aid is allowed into the region.
He added: Should the ongoing aggression against Gaza cease and the blockade be lifted, there might be a decrease in the intensity of our activities. However, the spirit of resistance, ingrained as a fundamental principle and culture, will persist with divine support and will not waver.
He stressed that the matter of Palestine, the liberation of Al-Quds, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and other Islamic holy sites, are strategic objectives that we are committed to and cannot compromise on.
