Balance of Power Shifted from Israeli Regime to Palestine: Iran

Balance of Power Shifted from Israeli Regime to Palestine: Iran

Alwaght- Iran said the endeavors of legendary anti-terror commander General Qassem Soleimani in uniting the resistance front have shifted the regional balance of power from Israel to Palestine.

In a post on his Twitter account on Thursday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kan’ani posted pictures of a recent meeting between top leaders of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance movements, saying, “Undoubtedly, these photos have different messages for the Zionist regime and for the Palestinian nation.”

“The balance of power has long shifted – to the detriment of the fake Israeli regime and to the benefit of the Palestinian nation,” he wrote.

“The legacy of the al-Quds martyr, Lieutenant General Soleimani, in bringing the resistance front together and filling their hands is visible more than ever.”

On Sunday, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah met in Beirut with a delegation of senior Hamas officials, including Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Gaza-based resistance group, Sheikh Saleh al-Arouri, deputy head of the Hamas’ political bureau, and top officials Khalil al-Hayya and Osama Hamdan.

Reports said they discussed “the readiness of the Axis of Resistance,” “the intensification of resistance in the West Bank and Gaza” and recent “events at al-Aqsa Mosque” in the Old City of al-Quds.

General Soleimani, the former commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), brought together the forces in the Axis of Resistance against Israel.

He also played a key role in eliminating the ISIS terrorist group in the region.

However, angered by the senior general’s gains in the battle against terrorism, the US assassinated him upon his arrival at Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020. The attack also killed the commander’s companions, including Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).
