Alwaght- Israeli regime reportedly has been lobbying the US administration on behalf of the United Arab Emirates to designate Yemen's Ansarullah resistance movement as a terror group.
Ansarullah Movement, also known as Houthis, is a key revolutionary force in control of the capital Sana'a and much of the north, which is resisting the Saudi-led aggression. The Saudi-led coalition, participated by the UAE, has waged a brutal aggression on Yemen since 2015. The aggression has left tens of thousands dead and millions displaced, with the UN calling it the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. According to the UN, the war killed 377,000 people, directly and indirectly, by the end of last year.
In recent months, Ansarullah launched unprecedented air assaults on the UAE after the Persian Gulf Arab regime intensified its engagement in war on Yemeni nation. Last month the movement claimed responsibility for a drone attack on a key oil facility in Abu Dhabi.
The UAE has already asked the Biden administration to re-designate the Ansarullah as a terrorist organization. Biden came into office promising to end the war in Yemen, and one of the signature moves of his early days in office was removing the Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) label slapped on the Ansarullah during the final days of the Trump administration.
