Alwaght- Iranian parliament speaker says his country is not the enemy of any regional country including Saudi Arabia.
Countries like Saudi Arabia should know Iran is not their enemy rather it is against the war making in Yemen and Syria, Ali Larijani said during a security conference in Tehran.
Speaking to the Tehran Security Conference on Sunday he said "Iran wants a political solution for regional crisis".
"Security is of greatest importance for the West Asia based on last and present conditions. A considerable share of global energy is supplied by this part of the world and the West Asia is the region connecting all three continents of Europe, Asia and Africa," he said.
“As a result, analysts have named the region the Heart of the Earth as it has witnessed multiple wars as well as tensions among international powers in different eras,” he said.
He recalled the Israeli regime as a source of instability in the region since Muslim nations do not recognize the "very existence" of this "forged regime".
He went on to say that the regional chaos has also roots in a “strategic mistake” by major powers and regional players, which are using terrorism as a tool to pursue their agenda.
The top Iranian parliamentarian also criticized a lack of “political vigilance” in regional nations, particularly their young generations, as another factor fueling instability in the region.
