Hezbollah Fighters Kill ISIS Commander in Lebanon

Alwaght- Lebanese Hezbollah fighters have killed on Tuesday several ISIS terrorists, including of one of the terrorist group's commanders, Abu Abdullah Amer, with the Lebanese army later saying it killed four ISIS militants in a separate attack.

According to Lebanon-based Almanar TV channel, the Islamic Resistance fighters detonated an explosive device (IED) when Amer's convoy passed by to check a number of ISIS's sites in Ras Baalbek barrens in the Qalamoun region along the Lebanese-Syrian border .

Hezbollah fighters detonated the second IED was detonated when a group of ISIS terrorists tried to take their commander's corpse, killing a number of terrorists .

The Lebanese army also launched a directed missile onto the vehicle of one of ISIS commanders in Ras Baalbek.

Abu Jasem Flita, along with three other terrorists were killed in the rocketry attack, the Lebanese Army said in a statement.

Tuesday's killings are the latest in a string of recent Hezbollah and army attacks targeting militants in the Qalamoun region.

Hezbollah has intensified operations against Qalamoun-based militants since a prisoner swap deal between the Lebanese government and al-Nusra Front was carried out two weeks ago.

According to Lebanese Dailystar website ISIS and al-Nusra have been holed up on the outskirts of Arsal and nearby Ras Baalbek along the Syrian frontier for more than a year.

The militants have engaged in numerous clashes with the Lebanese Army, which has been pounding their hideouts on a nearly daily basis for months.

ISIS is holding nine Lebanese soldiers captive who were kidnapped in a brief takeover of Arsal in August 2014. It beheaded two of the servicemen last year.
