Bahraini Officials in Israel amid Anger over Al-Quds Decision

The Bahraini regime has sent an official delegation to the Israeli regime amid anger over US President’s decision to recognize al-Quds as Israel’s capital.

Alwaght- The Bahraini regime has sent an official delegation to the Israeli regime amid anger over US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize al-Quds (Jerusalem) as Israeli regime's capital.

According to media reports, the delegation which was sent upon orders from Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, included religious figures and met with Zionist officials in Tel Aviv.

The Bahraini delegation accompanied by Israeli regime's foreign ministry officials visited al-Quds' Old City, where the flashpoint al-Aqsa Mosque compound is located.

In September, Zionist media outlets claimed that Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had participated in a memorial on “Jewish genocide” organized by a Jewish in Los Angeles during a visit to the US.

The Bahraini monarch reportedly condemned the hostility of Arabs against Israel and asserted that Israeli citizens can visit his Persian Gulf state.

Last year, Bahrain hosted a delegation of US Jews at a ceremony to mark the Hanukkah holiday.

Bahrain's rulers have cracked down on all dissent on the Shiite-majority island, imprisoning or forcing politicians and activists into exile.

Documents released by WikiLeaks in 2011 highlighted Bahrain's contacts with the Israeli entity "at the intelligence/security level" and indicated that the Persian Gulf country was "willing to move forward in other areas".

The visit of the Bahraini delegation comes as protests continue to rage in the occupied Palestinian territories and around the world over a decision by US President Donald Trump to recognize al-Quds as the capital of the usurper Israeli regime.
