ALWAGHT- Israel reopened the Zikim Crossing in northern Gaza on Wednesday to permit humanitarian aid trucks into the enclave, the military’s COGAT unit, responsible for managing aid, announced.
Aid organizations have warned that Gaza faces a looming humanitarian crisis as winter nears, with only a small portion of the necessary aid reaching the enclave to sustain its population.
Meanwhile, Israel conducted three airstrikes northeast of Beit Lahia, and Israeli naval forces fired off the southern Gaza coast. Additional demolitions were carried out in Khan Younis, where local sources reported loud explosions.
Although Hamas and Israel reached a ceasefire last month, ending a two-year offensive on Gaza, airstrikes and shelling have persisted, resulting in hundreds of deaths.
