Alwaght- The US is politically protecting and supporting Saudi aggression against Yemen, the leader of Yemeni Ansarullah said on Friday.
“The United States plays a major role in the aggression… including logistical support for air and naval strikes, providing various weapons … and providing complete political cover for the aggression, including protection from pressure by human rights groups and the United Nations,” Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said.
Blaming Saudis for their aggressions against Yemeni people and their struggle to fail any political negotiations in the country, he added “the hurdle facing negotiations and dialogue is that the other party wants to achieve through the talks what it wanted to achieve through war, not understanding that the path of dialogue and peace is different from the path of war”.
The Saudi attacks against civilians and opposition groups in Yemen has continued since its initiation in March 2015 when the kingdom launched military strikes to reinstall the resigned president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, taking refuge in Saudi Arabia.
According to United Nations' latest report, death toll from indiscriminate airstrikes 0f Saudi-lead coalition has surpassed 10,000.
