Alwaght- Saudi regime forces have bombed another hospital in Yemen killing at least four civilians on Sunday, the group said, condemning what it called a "worrying pattern" of such attacks.
The Paris-based Doctors Without Borders medical humanitarian organization said three of its staff members were among 10 people wounded in the raid, the third of its kind in four months in the war-ravaged country.
Two other members of staff were in "critical condition", the group known by its French acronym MSF said in a statement.
"The numbers of casualties could rise as there could still be people trapped in the rubble," it said, adding the missile hit the medical facility in the Razeh district of Saada province.
But all staff and patients had been evacuated, with the patients being transferred to another MSF-supported hospital in Saada, it said.
According to MSF staff on the ground, one missile hit the Shiara Hospital, where the humanitarian organization has been operating since November, 2015. MSF say they are unable to say who was responsible for the attack, but mentioned planes were seen flying over the facility at the time the attack took place. The Yemeni airspace is currently controlled by the Saudi-led aggressors. The organization adds that the death toll could rise as there is the possibility that people are still trapped in the rubble.
MSF strongly condemned this and we reiterate to all parties to the conflict that patients and medical facilities must be respected.
Last week Saudi warplanes have bombed a number of civil areas and facilities including a hospital in the Yemeni capital Sanaa. During the brutal attack on Monday 4th January, Saudi warplanes extensively damaged the al-Sabeen Hospital for Motherhood and Childhood and many nearby houses.
This is not the first time Saudi warplanes are d r o pping bombs on hospitals in Yemen. Early December last year MSF blamed the Saudi-led coalition of bombing its medical facility in southwest Yemen, wounding nine people in what it said was "a violation of international law".
Two MSF staff were among those wounded when a clinic run by the aid agency in Taez, Yemen`s third-largest city, was struck by Saudi warplanes on the second of December.
Late October, Saudi regime jets also bombed on a hospital in north Yemen run by medical aid group MSF in Heedan district of Saada province. "It could be a mistake, but the fact of the matter is it`s a war crime. There`s no reason to target a hospital.
We provided (the coalition) with all of our GPS coordinates about two weeks ago," MSF country director Hassan Boucenine said.
The Saudi regime and its allies began a military aggression against Yemen – without a UN mandate – on March 26 to stop advances of the Ansarullah movement which is backed by the country`s army and Popular Committees. The Saudi regime intends to restore fugitive former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi to power.
During the last nine months of the Saudi war on Yemen, at least 7,700 people have been killed mostly civilians including women and children.
The illegal war on Yemen has also inflicted damages on hundreds of important installations in the civilian infrastructure including hospitals, schools, mosques, residential quarters, water reservoirs etc.
